In the previous chapter, Self-blindness in humans as prerequisite for the evolution of advanced intelligence, it was shown that Homo sapiens is saddled with a peculiar inability to regard the own behaviour soberly and that this incapacity does have strong genetic roots, but is also amplified by cultural factors.
